Our Programs

Ryan White Program


 

NovaSalud is committed to providing care to people living with HIV regardless of their ability to pay. For those who are uninsured or underinsured, the Ryan White Program provides linkage to the Ryan White HIV care and supportive services.

HIV/STI-Testing Prevention Program

NovaSalud provides free confidential HIV, STI and Hepatitis C counseling and testing for residents living in Virginia, D.C and Maryland. Outreach testing has been the foundation of NovaSalud successful HIV prevention program for the past decade. Appointments are available by phone, online scheduling or walk-in.

Comprehensive Harm Reduction Program

The Comprehensive Harm Reduction (CHR) Program is part of a larger Public Health strategy to reduce negative health outcomes for people who engage in substance use. NovaSalud Program incorporates a spectrum of strategies and evidence-based interventions that include overdose, HIV/HCV transmission and other infections prevention.

NovaSalud programs provide support to diverse community members in the DC metropolitan area. We welcome anyone regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, different abilities or legal status. If you are interested please give us a call at: 703-533-1858.

HIV/STI Testing, Counseling, and Referrals

NovaSalud provides free HIV/STI testing and comprehensive counseling with an experienced health educator. Referrals and linkage to care are provided to clients if needed.

Mental Wellness Support

Mental health therapists are available for counseling sessions with those living with HIV.

HIV Prevention and Care Support

NovaSalud is devoted to educating the community on HIV prevention and achieving the most effective referral and linkage to care for recently diagnosed HIV clients.

Support Groups

NovaSalud provides support group programs for people living with HIV, trans women and black African American communities.

Comprehensive Harm Reduction

NovaSalud’s Comprehensive Harm Reduction program incorporate comprehensive strategies to reduce negative health effects for those who are substance users.
